internet is the network of networks called the international networks.In 1969 the US defence department created a network called the ArphaNet to send the information and signals in a secure and reliable manner.
This gained popularity among many and it was offered to the civilians.As years rolled many were engrossed in connecting themself with this new type of network.Due to increasing popularity this led to the evolvement of World Wide Web.
WWW contains millions of websites.The extension WWW is prefixed before the website name.
A website is a collection of many webpages whick are linked under a common file name as html file with the extension .html.The page which gets opened is called the Home page which contains the short descriptions of the website with the theme and may be with a logo. It contains the links to all its sub pages.
Statistics says there are now more than 360 million people use internet around the world.At present web finds it vast applications in everything.
